If you haven’t figured out from this post, this post or this post – I am a fan of easy dinners! Not only because they are huge time savers during the week, but I find they often require less prep & not a ton of ingredients!! Confession: I didn’t know what a crock pot was before I moved in with Gary…we didn’t have one growing up and I honestly had no clue how they worked. Now – I can’t imagine life without one!!
As for meatloaf, well I had never had this until moving in with Gary either…he’s clearly been an influencer! Perhaps not for everyone, but this recipe is seriously delicious and I wanted to share it with all of you!
Ingredients:
2 eggs beaten
3/4 cup of milk
3/4 dry breadcrumbs
1 envelope of dry onion soup mix
1.5-2 lbs of meat (we found a great meatloaf mix)
1 small onion chopped
Choice of cheese to sprinkle on top when done
After spraying the crock pot with non-stick spray, combine everything.
Mix everything in with your hands. Kindly doing the hand modeling is Gary since someone had to take the pictures!
Obviously not that pretty when molded, but make sure the meatloaf doesn’t touch the sides of your crock pot.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours and you can garnish with some onions over the top (we tried to make it look pretty). We don’t have a strainer for our crock pot – so we simply remove onto a plate and drain all the fat out.
Once done – eat and enjoy!! I like to add ketchup to mine (weird perhaps) but it tastes really good!! Best part about crock pot meals – there are always leftovers for lunch the next day!
We adapted our version from thisrecipe.
Are you a fan of meatloaf? Better yet – do you have a great meatloaf recipe you’d like to share?!
xo,
Biana
I love adding ketchup to my meatloaf too – I'll have to try this recipe out!

I definitely put ketchup on my meatloaf! My mom puts it in her recipe. Now I can't get "MAAAA THE MEATLOAF" out of my head 😉 Girl I have that crockpot ninja on my registry I check all the time to see if someone (aka my mom) has bought it for me yet can't wait!
I've never had meatloaf….but that looks tasty.
mmm i havent had meatloaf in YEARS! now i want to make this! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
I seriously LOVED meatloaf growing up– my husband refuses to eat it, so sadly I don't think I'll make it anytime soon, but I always love when my mom makes it when I'm home! I love ketchup on mine too!
Lipton onion soup mix is a miracle ingredient. It seriously makes everything better.
This looks sooooo good! I love a good crock pot recipe, coming home to an already cooked meal is the best feeling! 🙂 Tottally going to try this!

Meatloaf is one of my least favorite meals, but I've never seen it made in the slow cooker before! I will have to pass this along to my mom and brother – they love it. 🙂
Scott and I have had a crockpot and we have yet to use it. I keep saying I will but nothing yet. Maybe this will be my first recipe.
This looks great!! I LOVE easy crockpot meals…I didn't have one until I moved in with Ross either and it has changed my life! So many easy meals can be made in it 🙂
this looks interesting! i have never had meatloaf, and have been searching for a meatless gluten free recipe to try, but havent found one that works / looks yum yet. i love the crockpot, but to be honest – a lot of the meals that are made easier with a crockpot have meat, and while thats fine sometimes (for us) when im not cooking meat, meals never take long enough to call for a crockpot. if that makes sense. i cooked chicken something in it once, and beef something once, and hubby loved both of them so much.
I don't know what I'd do w/o my crock pot in the summer!
No joke… I had a dream last night that I made stuffed peppers in it – and put blueberries on top???
I didn't know this was possible!! I am going to have to try this asap! It looks delish and I always love a good crock pot meal! Thank you for sharing and making my life a little easier 🙂

I love meatloaf but have never made it in the crockpot! I add ketchup to the mixture and on top before baking! So good!
NICE! I am a fan of meatloaf 🙂 I've been working on a post that will include my fave honey bbq meatloaf recipe!
The crock pot is my bestie, especially in the fall and winter when I'm all about making hearty soups and chili. 🙂

1. I get weird cravings for this 2. Yes, ketchup is a MUST for meatloaf and 3. Sadly this is like the ONLY food my husband refuses to eat, so I'm left with cravings more than yummy meatloaf (best served with mashed potatoes!)
oo hubby would love this! I think I've made it once and it didn't involve the ease of crockpot so thanks for sharing!!
I haven't had meatloaf in years but I totally need to make this! Girl I can give you more crockpot recipes than you can shake a stick at.
Yum! I love meatloaf! This would be perfect!

I've never thought to make meatloaf in the crockpot! Next time you try it, squirt some ketchup in before you cook it! Sooo good and helps keep things moist (hate that word but that's what it does haha)
I'm a big FAN of easy dinners too!! This looks so yummy:)

Love using the crockpot! Makes life so much easier. And yes I'm a fan of meatloaf but didn't know you could make it in the crockpot!
I need to make more use out of my crockpot!!
This looks soo good! Iv'e never added the french onion mix before to mine! I'm gonna try it!
I can't believe you never heard of a crockpot or had meatloaf! Too funny! 🙂 I couldn't imagine not having one either! I actually have like 5 of them. LOL! This recipe sounds so awesome! I am definitely going to try it sometime! 🙂 We process our own deer and beef so our burger isn't the best for meat loaf. It just turns into slop! But it's still good! Especially with BBQ sauce is my fav!
