We all know there isn’t quite enough time in the day to get everything we need to get done, especially when it comes to blogging. Since it’s not my full time job, I’ve found a few things that have helped make my time blogging more efficient – aside from the obvious ones like following blogs I read daily on Bloglovin and GFC, these are some tricks I’ve started to master in the last few months!
1// Link to your blog with HTML code when commenting on other blogs.
1// Link to your blog with HTML code when commenting on other blogs.
I learned this fromPeaches in a Podat the start of the year. You paste in the below code changing out the highlighted portion to your blog URL and then paste it in with every comment you leave instead of typing out your web address.
<a href=”http://www.blovedboston.com” title=”BlovedBoston”>BlovedBoston</a>
I have this saved on my work and home computers as well as my iPad in a little note. Such a time saver & it directly links to your blog when it’s clicked on – instead of people having to go through your blogger page!
2// BeFunky& PicMonkey
2// BeFunky& PicMonkey
Amanda introduced me to BeFunky, but PicMonkey has been all the rage for everyone in blogging. These are the two programs I use to make collages and edit my photos – it’s easy to use, very intuitive and best of all FREE!! Who doesn’t love that!
3// FotoJet
3// FotoJet
I just recently found this FREE online program called FotoJet. You know those pretty layouts I do for my favorite links – well it’s through this program. I love how clean it makes the layout look and it really does look professional – and again so easy to use! You can make just about any type of collage on there!
4// Hashtags in your notes.
4// Hashtags in your notes.
This is one I recently started doing for my Instagram posts. Hate it or love it – hashtags get your pictures noticed on Instagram and certain ones work really well for twitter too. I like to post at most 4 hashtags with the blurb about my photo and in the first comment I’ll have all the other relevant hashtags listed. I know there are a lot of people that don’t like this method, but I will say that it’s how people that aren’t following you can find your photos and you can also find other people with similar interests on Instagram.
I have them split into three different categories (pretty things, food & fashion) and having them saved in your notes on your phone is such a time saver!
5// Keyboard for iPad mini.
5// Keyboard for iPad mini.
This is a very recent purchase for me and one that I’m thrilled with. I have been using my iPad for a lot of blogging related things like writing posts, responding to emails and even commenting on blogs. With all that it was getting hard to just type away on the screen so I purchased this bluetooth keyboard case.
I love that the keyboard can be removed from the case and you can just carry your iPad so it’s not bulky, but overall it didn’t add much weight to my bag and I don’t have to lug my laptop with me either!
These are just a few things that make my daily blogging tasks easier.
Do you do any of these to make your time blogging more efficient? Any tips and tricks you’d like to share?
So many fun tricks, lady! I have been using BeFunky since Amanda posted about it, too but I definitely need to try FotoJet. I love your link collages, they are so pretty and informative, too. And thank you for sharing trick number 1, I've been meaning to ask you about it forever, haha!
Super fun post, friend! <3
One of my tips (my current blog is new-ish, but I have been blogging off-and-on since 2012) is to not re-post all of the same pictures that are on Instagram, share all of the same updates from Twitter/Instagram, post or all of the same things that were pinned on Pinterest. Sometimes there is no point in me reading a post because I already saw everything on another website.
I currently use picmonkey but oooh can't wait to try fotojet! THanks! I'm also dying over those pink accessories!! π
Awesome tips!! Hopefully they will help me get back on track! π xo
Great tips girl! I've been using PicMonkey for years but I upgraded to the pro version a few years ago and I love it! Isn't the mini keyboard such a lifesaver? I have mine with me all the time!
Thank you!! I've always wondered how to leave a link to my blog when commenting. Your example makes it so easy! And why have I never thought to save hashtags in a note? So simple yet makes so much sense. You're killin' it today π
Great reminder about the keyboard…..heading over to Amazon. It made such a huge difference when I could get work done on the plane! Yes to the hashtags, that was such a great hack you taught me! Fab round up! xoxoxo ~Amanda Meet @ the Barre – Favorite Fall Purses on Sale
Gah- I love this! It's nice to see how other people manage their times! It seems like there is always so so much to do!
Great tips friend! Definitely checking out FotoJet!
I spent FOREVER one day writing out all my hashtags in a note for them to promptly be deleted the next time I went to copy and paste them – my phone is such a spaz! I love that tip about adding your blog URL. I'm definitely going to start doing that! Thanks for sharing!
Great tips! I love that BeFunky collage maker. I hope that you have a great day today too!! π
That mini keyboard sounds like a fantastic idea, especially for my upcoming travels! Heading over to check out FotoJet now, thanks for the tip π

Ummmmmm. The notes for hashtags are GENIUS. I'm also going to look at migrating over to the linked signature. I've been wondering how to fix the fact that I'm on WordPress but using blogger to comment so much!
Great tips, lady! I need to check out Fotojet! π

Having hashtags in a note on my phone for Instagram is amazing! It saves so much time and I can just copy and paste. I even had a list specifically for my trip to Hawaii!
Awesome tips gurlie! I'm so glad you showed me your hashtag trick in your notes, such a lifesaver! I may have to get on board with #1, but when I first started blogging I remember that being a "no-no", but I feel like it's become the norm now and totally acceptable. And YES to fotojet thank you thank you THANK YOU! I've always wondered how people make those beautiful layouts. Aaaaaand pinned π
Love the tips – thank you!

Great tips! Love the idea of saving hashtags in notes and I always wondered how you linked your blog in comments. π
I've recently started getting a little hashtag list in notes too… SUCH a good idea. And never heard of FotoJet but will definitely be checking it out π
While pickmonkey basic is free, upgrading to Royale is the BEST investment I've made in my blog! It's a whopping $20 for the YEAR and you get access to basically Photoshop-level capabilities – definitely worth checking out if you use pickmonkey regularly!
Such great tips, so helpful. I love BeFunky. I could spend hours on that site making collages.
Thanks for these tips!! Trying the first one right now to see if it works………..another app I use for photos is ribbet.com I love it! catchatwithcarenandcody
omg it worked thank you! I have been wondering how people did this!
I love the html tip! I was trying to figure out the best way to do that, this seems like the easiest for sure. Thank you!
Amanda introduced me to BeFunky, too and I LOVE it! Off to check out Fotojet now!
I have to get better at using hashtags!
Thanks so much for sharing your tips!
I used to leave the link to my blog with my comments… goodness, I've become so lazy with blogging every since Mia was born!!
I've just recently started adding hashtags in a comment below my photo and I think it totally helps photos get noticed as lots of pregnancy companies have started following me, etc. I gotta find more hashtags to add under Mia's photos since she's the main thing I post, ha!
Thank you SO much for sharing the tip about the link back to your blog! You have no idea how long I've been trying to figure that out! I'm not good with technology haha! And I just started doing the copying and pasting of hashtags from my notes too…such a time saver! We will see if I did this coding right haha

Interesting ideas!!! I always love to hear what others have to say and find it interesting what some bloggers LOVE and suggest others say don't do!!! There is really always so much to learn and so many take-aways!! It can be overwhelming at times, but thanks for sharing such good ideas! Truly appreciated!
So many great tips! That case looks so awesome I may need to snag one! Typing on the ipad is too much of a pain. Thanks for sharing!!
Bloglovin' is where it's at. I like to break my blogs up into groups… that way, I can make sure I read ones I really love prior to moving onto newer ones that I haven't formed much of an opinion on or a relationship with.
I'm definitely going to have to check out BeFunky. Have yet to use that one. Great tips girl!
Saving hashtags in your notes is such a good idea! I usually use the same ones and have them memorized but I need some new ones!

Thanks for the tips! Love me some PicMonkey :)! xx
I just started adding my blog link in the comments since my profile just goes to my blogger page – not my new wordpress. It's such an easy way for people to click over. I don't have an ipad, but I could see that keyword being a must if you try and type anything.

How smart to save your hashtags in a note so that you can just copy and paste them instead of typing them out each time!!!! I don't know why I never thought of that!!

I wondered how you did those pretty link collages, thanks for sharing! Love the idea of a keyboard for my tablet too!
I as wondering where all these pretty collages came from, thanks for that tidbit!!! I am loving Canva lately for the intro photos that I use for certain posts. They are so easy to use and have a lot of different options that take me no time at all compared to picmonkey.
GREAT tips! There are so many things I feel silly asking other bloggers because 'i should know how to do that'!

More and more people who are willing to take action in order to move their lives forward are taking advantage of coaching programs. Most of these people do not mind spending thousands of dollars in hiring coaches as long as they know that these people take them from where they are right now to where they would like to be.

When you are unwell, you are likely to be desperate to get treatment and this makes many people settle for the nearest hospital, they can find without considering just how good it is in offering the urgent medical care they need.

I NEVER knew how to leave my blog URL in comments that weren't in Discus. You totally just made my day! I've used Pic Monkey for ever, but never really loved it. I'm not sure if I'm alone when I say this, but it constantly freezes on me. It's weird, and doesn't happen every time, but it's more than it should. Can't wait to try out this new one!
great tips! I'm going to check out BeFunky and Fotojet. Thanks for all these great tips!

such fabulous tips, B! I love when people link to their blog in a comment, it makes my life easier when I am visiting their page hahaha. I really should do it!
These tips are genius, I always wondered how you put your little link in all your comments. Smarty! I gotta start trying that. I love picmonkey but I swear I only know how to do a few things.
I did the link to my blog for a short amount of time but got out of the habit, blurgh. I need to do it again. Thanks for fotojet!! I love finding things that do the collage easy. I usually save all the pics to my phone and use an app like PicFrame.
these are so helpful!! i just picked a few up! π

I do that first tip all of the time, some people don't always have their name linked to their blog (they have the g+ page).
Yes! I love befunky and picmonkey. Although picmonkey has been my main source lately, befunky was the one I used to make my header on my blog. Is fotojet free?

Love these tricks! Definitely need to try Fotojet — and PicMonkey is my jam. I was against so many hashtags for awhile, but it really does make a difference! Even a non-blogger friend pointed out that I should use more tags to grow my Insta.

Ohh I've been debating getting a keyboard for my ipad recently. How does it connect?? And I am definitely going to have to check out fotojet too!
The best tip I've ever received is from Pat Hatt @ It's Rhyme Time. Write as many blog posts ahead of time as possible. This will allow you time to catch up on something else when blogging isn't really a priority. I love the HTML link idea!
These are such awesome tips. I love the hash tags saved in the notes.

Why have I never thought about the notes thing for hastags? That is genius! Is there a particular reason you split it up between the blurb and the comment?
