Happy Monday and happy August friends!! We’ve been pretty lucky this past week weather wise and it was perfect for everything we had on the agenda this time around.
Friday night we started with a double date with my parents! Taking them to our favorite sushi restaurant of course and followed it up with some pink champagne to toast to Gary’s new job! After they left we took a chance and rented The Escort. It was surprisingly very funny and the actors had incredible comedic timing. Which can’t be said for a lot of indie movies.
We took the train to my sister’s house on Saturday morning and immediately headed to the pool! My dad is king of infused water’s and I was sipping these and floating along all day long! Took a short break to stop by the mall & this mini fashionista made out with some goodies! I swear the bag was bigger than her!
Sunday was almost more perfect than Saturday and I got to spend more time with my mom and sister.
Lawn on D was the perfect stop on the way back into the city and obviously we had just as much fun as the kids playing on the swings!
I made a few purchases this weekend including the highlighter from Jaclyn Hill’s collaboration with Becca Cosmetics. I think I mentioned I’m highlighter obsessed in this post! I was also on the hunt for a one piece bathing suit and feel that the end of the season is always the best time to buy! I was able to scoop up this bathing suit that pretty much looks like all the Mara Hoffman geometric prints out there! Clearly geo patterns were on my mind because I made another trip to City Target (can’t stay away) and had to have these sleep shorts!
It’s weekend’s like these that give you the recharge you need to start the week on the right page – it also doesn’t hurt that’s it’s a short week and I get to meet up with so many amazing bloggers at the end of the week!

I made the mistake of not purchasing a smaller suit and was wearing one 4 sizes too big! You can imagine my problems. haha. Being so fair skinned, I try to avoid pool days and cover most of my skin. I BURN BAD! Clearly you can't do that at the beach so I went with my "I'll wear the one from last year mentality." Such a big mistake since I'm nearly 20 lbs lighter than last summer! haha Love the print on the one you picked up! I think I'm going to pick up like four at the end of the season. (;
