Bonjour and ‘ello to all of Biana’s
lovely readers! I’m Pamela and I blog over at Sequins & Sea
Breezes about fashion, beauty, lifestyle and the occasional rant about something random! I’m taking over Biana’s blog
for the day while she’s making me jealous vacationing in Europe. I hope she’s having an amazing
time and I can’t wait to hear all about her adventures (as I’m sure you all can agree) but until she gets back I figured I’d
share a little recap of my vacation to London and Paris last year and let you all know my favorite places!
I fell in love with London years ago
when my parents decided to take me on a weekend trip over there while I was in college. As soon as we got home I couldn’t
wait to go back again and spent hours looking at things to do and studying the Tube map so the next time I went I wouldn’t
look so touristy. I’m happy to say that all my studying paid off and when I went back last year I felt like a Londoner at
heart navigating like I (almost) lived there.
Pretty much immediately after we
landed (and got through customs) we went to meet up with some friends of mine who were living in London at the time. We
went to Borough Market for lunch then headed over to the Tate Museum to grab a drink. If you’re ever in London I
highly recommend going to the Tate Museum for a drink. The bar is located at the top of the museum and has
panoramic views up and down the Thames. We got lucky enough to snag seats directly in front of St. Paul’s
Cathedral.
When in London (at least for your
first time) seeing the palaces is a must! We went over to Buckingham (the top pic) bright and early to get a good spot for the
changing of the guard then since our hotel was in Kensington, we stopped by Kensington Palace (sadly it appears Prince
William and Kate weren’t home) on our way back to the hotel at the end of the day.
If you love shopping, going to
Harrod’s is an absolute mustΒdo! That place is insane, I could seriously get lost in there! I definitely suggest getting a pint in
a local pub. The Mayflower Pub, The Scarsdale Tavern, The Harp or Walkers of Whitehall are all awesome places to check
out (the bangers and mash in the bottom pic are from Walkers of Whitehall).
Of course no trip to London is
complete without stopping by all the London landmarks.
Since I’ve already written a
book I’ll let Biana tell you all about her favorite adventures in Paris and I’ll just leave you with a few of my favorite pictures.
I hope if you ever make a trip
out to London that you love it as much as I do!
I am so jealous! A massive Europe trip hopefully is in our future in the next few years. My husband and I promised each other that that would be the big vacation before we think about bringing kiddos into the picture. Here's to hoping!
My fingers are crossed for you!!

So jealous of this trip!! I'm trying to plan a London/Paris adventure for 2015.. what's the best time of year to visit do you think? I was leaning towards June!
Late spring is definitely a great time to visit London because the flowers are all in bloom and it's not TOO chilly out. June is definitely good because it's much warmer and it usually rains less then!

I'm dying to visit London! I think a pub crawl there would also be awesome too! lol
Oh definitely! However you'd have to pick ones in advance and have a strict schedule. Since everything closes super early there it's easy to lose track of time and get stuck out some where! Not to mention there's a pub on every corner π
