You may or may not have noticed that I didn’t mention my Sephora Play! Boxin December…that’s because my box never came! I was a little disappointed because the samples were ones that I was excited to try, but reaching out to Sephora’s customer service was a breeze and they refunded me the $10 cost of the box and I was all set with getting my January box! The theme of January’s box was “No Appointment Necessary” – meaning these were all things that would help your skin look fresh without having to visit the doctor!!

I was most excited to try the eye mask. I really liked that I didn’t have to sleep with the mask on – I had tried other under eye masks and you had to wear them overnight and they ended up everywhere except for my eyes! These stayed put and after only 15 minutes in the morning I noticed a difference. Very rarely do I notice a difference with masks, but my eyes felt less puffy and the dark circles were minimized. What I don’t like is that it’s $5 for only one mask, but I am keeping about two sets on hand to use before special events to be refreshed!

I really didn’t know what to expect from the alpha beta peel, but when I heard the word peel I instantly got nervous. I was worried that my skin was going to have an adverse reaction and end up blotchy and red like when Samantha had a peel on Sex and the City. I’m happy to report that I didn’t have any mishaps and actually got to use this for three consecutive days. My skin did in fact glow after this and I noticed how much tighter it felt – probably because it reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores. It does tingle, but no more than any other masks I’ve used.
Along the same lines I was pretty weary of the Dr. BrandtNeedles No More cream. This is crazy expensive for a small bottle, but it’s supposedly botox in a bottle without the needles (hence the name) and the pain! I sadly can’t report that I saw a huge improvement in my forehead, which was the only place I applied it to and on top of that it takes about 4 weeks using the cream twice a day to truly see results and with the small sample in the box it’s impossible to get those results. I’d be interested to try thefiller maskwhich has better reviews.

I have been into applying my eye makeup with sticks recently so I was exciting to try Clinque’s chubby highlighting stick. This is super easy to use for adding that little bit of highlight on your cheeks and right on your brow bone! I keep it with me in my purse. Another product I keep in my gym bag is the style extender from Living Proof. I spritz a little after I’m done with my workout and my hair looks the same as it did before I worked out – I don’t like to wash my hair at the gym, so this helps me get through the day! A sort of throw away product was the Tocca (Isabel) perfume. They always have one fragrance in each box and I don’t really mind it because it’s one of those things I keep in my desk at work and sort of forget about until I need to use it!
Was this my most favorite box? No, but it was the box that I used the products almost immediately so I was happy to get to try them out and toss the ones that I finished like the cream, peel and mask!
How do you feel about subscription boxes? Have you tried any of these products yet?

That Clinique stick sounds perfect! And glad to hear you didn't have any adverse reactions to the peel, those always make me nervous too! Living Proof seems to not make a bad product, love it! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
I love highlighting sticks and didn't know Clinique made one. I'll have to check it out; love the review of all these products!

I love those Clinique chubby sticks. I have just used it for eyeshadow, but I like the idea of using one as a highlighter! Such a bummer you didn't get the December box, but luckily they were easy to work with. That is always refreshing!
Loved this post!! You do such a thorough review!!

I adore the Sephora eye and face masks and the Clinique chubbies. Thank goodness some still people still provide great customer service, those are the kinds of places that get me repeat business because it's so refreshing and appreciated!! Have a wonderful day…I bet you're getting excited!!
Thanks for the great review. I just switched my makeup over to Clinique, so I may have to add that chubby highlighter stick to my stash as well. Wish I had seen that last weekend when I bought the rest. LOL I'm always up for a mask that takes away dark circles and wrinkles – sign me up! HA! 🙂
I am so obsessed with Sephora! I am really glad your skin didn't turn out like Samantha's did with the peel. I bought a retinol oil from Sephora and it made my face feel like it was on fire. Had to take it back the next day haha! Love that the mask worked for you!
Sarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
So glad that you got a box that you were able to use a bunch of the things. And I'm also glad that the peel didn't make your face go crazy–that would NOT have been fun (I would've been nervous at the word "peel" too).
I get the monthly ipsy box and lately it's been ehhhh. I will probably cancel it soon but your Sephora box sounds awesome!
I love this box and I tried to get it, but I think I am still on the waiting list because I never heard anything. All of these products are great ones to try, especially that peel!

Peaches In A Pod
I think out of all of those products I would really want to try the clique chubby stick highlighter! I love Clinique's other products and I have been looking for a highlighter!
I'm totally going to check out that eye mask. My under eye circles are insane lately and surely only going to get worse once the baby is here!
I haven't had the chance to try any of the peels or the mask yet, but I'm loving the chubby stick! I use it all the time to add a highlight in the mornings! That sucks that they you didn't ever receive your December box, but at least they refunded you the money!
I really need to sign up for this! I have been tempted to buy that Clinique highlighting stick–glad to hear you liked it! That Living Proof Style Extender sounds awesome-would be perfect for after the gym like you said!

Still super jealous you are able to get these fabulous boxes! Those Sephora masks are amazing, and I couldn't agree more that not only do they work but you don't have to sleep with them on. Win-win <3
Green Fashionista
That is a lot of high end products for 10 bucks! Way better than birchbox if you ask me. That stinks the last one didn't come you probably were all…..do you have an extra one laying around somewhere please? 😉
Fun box! I'm so scared of peelers after that SATC episode too! ha
I've done that mask before & it's great!! Looks super silly on tho! xo

oh i'd really like this one! i love a good highlighter – i use my benefit one all the time! and anything that reduces wrinkles is on my list!
xoxo cheshire kat
I've received a couple of subscription boxes before and it's definitely fun to try sample sizes of products! I pretty much never follow through on buying anything though, so I have never subscribed. Maybe I should give it a go?! 🙂

Such a fun box! That chubby stick sounds awesome! Also I need that hair spray! My hair could use a little help after the gym!

So glad to hear that Sephora refunded you no problem! These samples are so fun! I have a chubby stick from Clinique and I love it!
So nice to know that they have good customer service!! Now if they would only change their rewards program so that you could use points towards purchases!! Although I'd be in trouble lol. Anyway!! I like the sound of that highlighter and that Living Proof hair stuff. I only wash my hair once a week and would totally use that stuff. 🙂 Thanks for sharing lady and I hope that you have a fab day!
I love your honest assessment of the products in this box. I like how the mask made your skin feel improved and would definitely be worth a shot.

I love subscription boxes like this! I didn't realize that Sephora did their own!!

That is such a bummer that you didn't get the December box, glad that they have such good customer service and reimbursed. Now that I'm thinking, I think I got my December box really late in the month. I want to say I think it arrived right before Christmas. My favorite thing in the January box was that chubby stick. I LOVE it. It's such a great product and the size we got is almost as big as the regular one.
This seems like such a great value for only $10, I'll have to look into it! I definitely have been wanting a clinique chubby stick so I know I would be so excited to get that in a subscription! I'd love to keep hearing about what these boxes contain every month!

Glad the peel didn't do anything crazy to your skin. I love this box.
Same thing happened with my November box, which I was super excited to try but I never got it. Sephora's Customer Service is amazing though, they immediately refunded me the money too. I haven't used the peel for the same reasons, I'm scared, but nice to know it's not a bad one.

I used that peel a long time ago and remember it working well – mostly because it didn't make my skin react in some crazy way! I love the Clinique contour chubby stick, so I'm sure the highlighter is just as easy/pretty to use.
That mask sounds great! And I love highlighters so I need to check out that Clinique stick.
Seems like a great value for $10!!! Although, I would probably be too afraid to try any of the masks for fear of a world war 3 sized breakout! Glad that didn't happen for you!! Make today work, Rachel CubicleCouture
What a fun box of samples! i would be nervous about the peel too but sounds like it worked out great. I remember a coworker getting a chemical peel and her face was flakey and shedding skin for days! That would not be fun to rock in public! LOL
I love these subscriptions because you get to try things that you otherwise wouldn't spend the $ on, and it's also like getting present in the mail, which is always fun!
What a bummer your December box never came! That highlighting chubby stick looks amazing and I am also super interested in those lotus eye masks! You got some awesome prodcuts this month! XO -Kim
I had no idea Sephora had a box? What the heck. I think I'm most interested about the peel, it sounds like something I'd love to try out. I've done chemical peels before (it's usual for your skin to shed because you're basically rushing the natural process it goes through). But all the products look lovely and like something I wouldn't mind at all playing around with.
I've never tried the Clinique highlighter but it has to be good if it's your must used product.
Ella Pinto xx
Sometimes skincare samples can be so hard if you don't get enough of the product to use for long enough– but at the same time sometimes I love them because they give you a chance to try something, you end up loving, that you wouldn't have ever tried otherwise. Aside from products I run out of I'm on a makeup buying ban, but that highlight stick sounds really nice!
Dying to try the under eye mask!
I need some under eye help… like BIG TIME HELP! I'll have to check that mask out!
That highlighter from Clinique looks spectacular! I need to put it on my to-check out list! I've also heard so many good things about Living Proof — now to figure out how I can get it here! xo
I'm always so skeptical of box subscriptions so I love how you broke this one down. Thanks for all of the details!
xo,
Sara Kate Styling
I think the hits and misses are what keeps me away from subscription boxes. That and I'm so dang picky! haha. I've tried a few of the Sephora masks and they are just ok. Tonymoly makes pretty good ones, a little cheaper. I dont think all of them actually do something, but I noticed smoother skin after using the Avocado one. (:
I love finding great new products! I should try this!

I love your honest reviews- it definitely gives me ideas as I am headed out shopping! Thanks B!
Oh my dark circles/puffiness really need to try out that eye mask then! I don't like the ones that you leave on all night so this sounds perfect!
I am SO JEALOUS that you have a subscription to this! I am on the waiting list and I cant wait to try it out. I have to check out that eye mask! That sounds fabulous! I tried the Glamglow eye mask and I was not blown away so I have been on the prowl for one ever since.
I've really been wanting to try their masks! I wish this service was available in Greenville!!
I'm loving the highlighter…I was skeptical of the skin peel, so I'm happy to hear you used it without an adverse reaction!
Boo about not getting your December box, but good that they refunded you. I am always so weary about new face stuff because I have uber sensitive skin and always stick to my tried and true products. I love Sephora masks, they are awesome!
alpha beta peel is amazing I love it
galantosfun
I would be skeptical of that peel too, but it sounds pretty amazing! Love your reviews as usual and fun new subscription box! I still have samples left from when I last did one of those. lol.
Wow, you've got some really great products here, girlie! I'm interested in trying that peel! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you're having a wonderful start to your week so far, beauty!

Oh my word, I would have turned and run the other way from that peel. That is such a scary word when you're talking about the skin on your face! Hahahaha. Glad that you did OK with it!
I love the idea of this box and your reviews! I have been on the wait list for months!
I'm going to pick up one of those eye masks at Sephora today – I need help with the puffy eyes! I've been dying to try the Dr. Gross peels too, I only ever hear wonderful things about them!
I really need something for under my eyes. I have been noticing the under eye bags more as I have reached more and more birthdays. LOL. I don't want to spend $5/day though. The word peel immediately scares me too but firmer, tighter skin sounds amazing.
i really want to try one of these boxes! great review! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
I may need to try that peel, I've been looking for a good one to try!
Heidi || Wishes & Reality
Still on the wait list, so annoying! 🙁 need a peel asap. Some serious help is needed over here hahaha
I love subscription boxes awesome reviews.
artadorned.com/
I got a week's sample of the needles no more and saw no improvement either. Even the full size looks like not enough for 4 weeks of treatment!
I've been curious to try the Clinique chubby stick, so I'm glad to hear you liked it!
Do you find that a lot of little perfume samples come in these boxes? I personally can't stand the tiny perfumes because the take up space and i lose them and they spill and I forget about them, and I don't know, i just don't like them haha. But if they aren't too common in these boxes, I may look into it!
That stinks you didn't get a box last month!! I am still waiting on my Allure box this month, I haven't even had confirmation that it shipped yet and usually I get it on the 6th. It better come!!!
I get weary of peels too but that one sounds good! Stinks that you didn't notice a difference with that expensive product but at least it was just a sample and you didn't sink your money in! I want to try the filler mask too!
that's so awesome they refunded you the cost of the box you didn't get. i really want to check out that mask, $5 is a bit much but if you noticed a difference, i definitely need it!
I have never gotten one of these and really want to pick one! Thank goodness for your reviews, looking forward to seeing what you think!
These boxes look amazing. Great products for a low price!

I love those masks! I totally agree that they make a big difference quickly! I've been looking for a highlighting stick so I'll have to check that one out 🙂

I've never had these type of boxes, I think I'd just end up with too much half-used stuff! I do like Clinique stuff though, and I love that they come in handy sizes to fit in a handbag.

I have wondered about the eye masks. I did one of the face masks and liked the results. Also, curious about the peel. I LOVE Sephora.
