Happy Monday friends. I am going to be the first to admit that with all the unrest happening in our country and all over the world right now it might seem a bit shallow to talk about my weekend. I believe in putting positivity out into the universe – there is so much hate on the internet, in the news and it seems like everywhere we turn, but this space is never going to be like that. What I will say…my family immigrated to America almost 30 years ago – I was just a baby and obviously it was years later that I realized the strength, courage & true grit that my parents had to uproot their two children to a country where they were starting over in the hopes of building something greater. With that being said, this is merely my way of putting positivity and lightheartedness out there.
This weekend was anything but stopping to smell the flowers – it was non-stop…but there were flowers involved!
We finalized all the tours and hotels for our California trip

Picked up some fresh blooms from Trader Joe’s & created a semi decent arrangement

Somehow I managed to catch the light at just the right time to make this look almost vintage!
Sunday I was up bright and early to partake in a styled photoshoot with some pretty amazing Boston wedding vendors. The last two photos here are taken with the iPhone 7 in portrait mode – seriously I can’t get enough! With a 7:30 AM call time, I was spent for the rest of the day, but that was perfectly fine with me!!
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!

I see Napa on your list! That's one of our favorite places, so much to do and see, we are always non-stop when we visit Northern California! So many great snaps from the styled shoot too — can't believe the last two were taken with an iPhone 7!!

A Blonde's Moment
My eyes were glued to CNN the entire day yesterday. Such confusion for so many people. I have deep sadness for where our country is right now. With that being said your photos are just gorgeous ! And….. those donuts look amazing. Happy Monday Biana π
I agree the turmoil is unsettling and hard to ignore! I, myself, immigrated here almost 15 years ago. But in brighter news so fun you're CA trip is booked and finalized! I just love it out there. Gorgeous vintage snap you were able to capture with the sunlight.
Your blog has been a breath of fresh air among all the other social media posts I've seen lately. Thank you! PS I love your hair. Did you cut it?
I agree, girl…it feels trivial to talk about anything else today. What an odd, sad, messed-up weekend for our country π Thanks for keeping a smile on my face! Your weekend definitely had some beautiful parts to it!!
I agree about the happenings going on in this country. Very upsetting. When will it get better?! π Your weekend looked lovely! Flowers, donuts, gorgeous photoshoot – perfection! Happy Monday!
I totally agree and love your message! All we can do to conquer hate is spread love!! Sounds like a great weekend! Happy Monday dear!

I feel the same way, I will only spread positivity on my little space of the internet, there's plenty of other people taking care of the hate, which is a shame.
Those donuts look amaaaaazing!
Beautiful pictures as always. That stemware is just stunning! I really can not wait to have a doughnut in February!!!
Loved seeing this styled shoot on your insta stories! Looks gorgeous!
I can't wait until I have a weekend home and then I'm getting flowers. TJ is my spot for them too. OMG those donuts are calling my name!!
Totally gorgeous girl! That last shot with that martinis and the flowers are stunning! Seriously that portrait mode is impressive.
What a beautiful photo shoot! And how fun that you've finalized your California trip! I can't wait to hear the details – my husband and I hope to do a California road trip in the near future. Trip planning always makes a weekend fun!
Girl, that California trip that you're planning looks like an awesome trip! We're thinking about heading out to Napa for our anniversary this summer so you'll have to share some recommendations π Happy Monday!

I'm not going to lie, I've stayed mainly off of social due to all the negativity going on right now. It's so sad and frustrating but I love the quote! So true! And yay for your Cali trip being booked, woohoo! You had a busy weekend but it looked great! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
All these flowers are gorgeous!!! The photoshoot looks like it was a success… I havent really been watching the news lately because of all the negativity going on. I hope this all passes soon and we can get back to some peace! Happy Monday!

I was obsessed with your floral arrangement you made yesterday – such a good job – you've inspired me now! It's always such a relief when a trip is finally planned and nothing is left to worry about – it'll be here before you know it!
Thanks for spreading some positive vibes today – this world desperately needs it!
The photo shoot looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see the final product π
Totally with you lady – we need more positivity out there! I am the daughter of an immigrant, as so many of us are! But thank you for keeping this space so upbeat and wonderful despite all the ugly and frustrating things that are going on right now π PS you're weekend looked just lovely – these pictures are beautiful!!
You were busy this weekend and I loved all of the photo shoot pictures, they look so amazing! So many feelings about everything going on in our country right now, so YES to all of the positivity <3
So true about putting positive vibes out there; it's so depressing listening to the news these days! Your flower arrangement turned out gorg! And the styled shoot too! That stemware is to die for!!!! XOXO, R
I had no idea that you and your family migrated to the States, where are you from if you don't mind me asking? You're so striking, so I'm guessing somewhere along the Mediterranean? I definitely can relate as my husband also immigrated to the US as a child and I'm second generation on both sides of my family. Our world is hurting bad and all we can do is pray and show love to those we encounter everyday, that's the way we can each begin to make a difference. In regards to your weekend, you and your team did a magnificent job with that shoot, it indeed looks vintage and absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a wonderful start to your Monday so far!

I love your message at the beginning. We nee to keep spreading our love to find the way in these bizarre times. All of your flowers, love it! I need to get to trader joe's again for sure. That shoot was absolutely gorgeous! The light is best at those early hours!
Thank you for writing this post. A week ago or so I wrote a similar post in regards to our new president. Like you, my family migrated in this wonderful country 20 years ago. America strives because of immigrants.
Anyway, love the bar cart and all the fresh flowers. I bet you created some pretty arrangements, too. Happy Monday Sweet Friend! Thanks for the positivity, today!
<3 Ada.
It's seriously so sad what keeps happening in out country π But at least there were pretty flowers and brides to make it a little brighter this weekend! See you Wednesday <3

You did totally catch the perfect light. That picture is STUNNING!!!!
I'm just trying to steer clear of the weekend's events. It's all just so HEAVY on the heart right now. Just keep putting out good… that's the best thing we can ALL do!!!
What a beautiful shoot!
I've been thinking about what you said at the beginning so much lately and have had a hard time even formulating a post about anything because I feel so sad about what's going on. But I love reading blogs and getting a break from reality if that makes sense, so I'm really glad you still shared your weekend. That shoot looks gorgeous– swooning over how pretty and delicate that stemware is. And I'm totally craving a donut now, those look delicious!
Oh my goodness – a sea salt bourbon donut?! YES please! Also, that photo w/ the bride and the light pouring in? So good!! So glad you had a fun weekend. I'm with you, we must exude a positive attitude when the world is so dark!
That styled shoot is gorgeous! I am drooling over the donuts. I know what you mean about posting about our weekends and clothing when there is so much going on. I personally don't know how to address it well on my blog and also love the escape as silly as that sounds.

very busy weekend π the bride photo is gorgeous, and so are the doughnuts. haha.
love your message at the beginning. everything that is happening is so disheartening, it's important to stay as positive as we can, and of course, be kind.
What a busy weekend but it looks like everything turned out great! It's all about the lighting, great pic girl! I can't wait to hear more about your California trip planning. Hope your Monday is off to a good start xo Beautifully Candid
Those donuts… OMG! I had some this weekend too but they didn't look nearly that tasty hehe. Can't wait to read/see more about your trip to Cali!!
Loving all of those pictures, but especially the one of you…and the one of the donuts which has me wishing I was eating one of them right now haha.
All of the negativity and hate makes me sick…it really does.
I could definitely go for one of those donuts…they look yummy! Glad you guys had a productive weekend!

Ahhh those donuts look amazing! That photo really does have a vintage feel to it, so cool. I really love the iphone 7 photos! Hope you have a great week!
I had a hard time posting about mundane weekend things today.
Donuts look fabulous. Love the vintagey pics at the bottom too.
I feel the same way, it can seem so trivial to post about weekend happenings and makeup products when there's so many terrible things going on in the world, but at the end of the day having an outlet for some happiness and can't hurt. Love the photos from this weekend, the shoot looks gorgeous!
That styled shoot was beautiful. I loved seeing the sneak peaks on IG. And those donuts. Yum. I need those asap!!!
There really is too much hate in the world right now, and I'm all for some positivity to counteract all the negativity out there! Your shoot looks so pretty, and it makes me want to go and watch Great Gatsby right now! That's also so exciting that you got the hotels booked for your California trip!
LOVE YOU, LOVE your attitude, LOVE the person you are. My grandparents were NOT born in this country either. That is all I will say. The Universe will hopefully take care of the evil xoxoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
We just celebrated 21 years in December, so I know how you feel! <3 Of course, I had to peek at your California itinerary, and you're going to have so much fun! π
The shot with the sunlight is gorgeous! Congrats on getting everything finalized, that's so exciting! The sea salted bourbon caramel donut sounds like my kind of donut.
I can't even imagine how crazy things are in the US right now (esp in a major city like Boston). I am obviously getting news via Facebook, various other news websites, and German news… it's so crazy!! I'm also the daughter of an immigrant (my mom came over from Korea in her late teens) so it also hits close to home.
I do think it's great to stay as positive as you can in your life! You weekend sounds fabulous and the styled shoot turned out amazing! The dress and the flowers are so dreamy. I can't wait to see how the photos turned out!

I couldn't have said it better myself in that opening paragraph and besides, I look to blogging to avoid the political unrest so thank you for that! Those pics and your weekend looked so glamorous!
Blogging is usually my go-to when I need a light distraction, but even its not doing the trick! Such a scary time!

Totally agree with you on being more positive. The world needs more of it too. Your pictures on Instagram of the photo shoot were gorgeous!! I also love that picture of you holding those flowers. π Hope that your day has been great so far too!!!
I completely agree with you Biana. All this turmoil and unrest just makes me so sad for our country and the people wanting to come here.
That shot with the cake and martinis is so pretty! Looks like I need to upgrade my phone now, ha!
Oh my god those donuts look amazing also your IG feed is so pretty!

Amazing photos! You are so sweet! Enjoy your trip!
It is very strange times, these days. Very unsettling for sure. The way I see it, almost all of us come from immigrants, right? My family came three generations ago… The flowers over your weekend are beautiful! It's always helpful to find some positives. Thanks for hosting!
I love the boots.
And now I want to look into an iphone 7 just for the photo benefits.
Thanks for hosting!

Bless you and your family Biana! <3 In these tough times, it's best to think more about those who support you, than those who are saying nasty things about things they don't understand! We are all decedents of immigrants, of refugees, of foreigners. We need to remember we all have hearts that love, and minds that can be brilliant. <3
Those donuts look yummy and the photoshoot looks so gorgeous! LOVE!
