Happy Friday friends! I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I can’t believe it’s the last Friday of April! If you could take a look inside my brain at the moment you would see a ton of ideas, lists and all around confusion and I thought it would be good to just get everything down in a sort of “brain/blog dump” fashion!

Finds & Wants ||
I realize my days of buying only for myself are numbered! We have a lot of fun purchases on the horizon for the nursery and things like that, but I’m trying to sneak in as many purchases for myself as I can!
As we get into the hotter months, I have a feeling my feet might swell, so I’m looking for comfortable, yet pretty sandals. I really like these espadrille wedges and I’ve been wanting a pair for years, but this height is a little lower than Marc Fisher has done in the past so I like that! There’s a similar pair by Soludos that’s a little more flat form than wedge!
I don’t normally buy things online from H&M, but they don’t have a maternity section in stores so I decided to give it a try. I ordered this floral top and this striped jersey dress. I think the jersey dress is going to look so great with my light denim jacket– also happens to be from H&M!
I have to be 100% honest, I’m still on the fence about this acrylic bag (this is a dupe for the designer one). I think it’s such a fun design, but I’m still pretty worried my stuff would fall out! I think I would put everything in some sort of pouch so that it wouldn’t get away from me. This is the first time I’ve seen a blush color and I like that it’s a bit different from the other stuff out there!
I think it’s clear at this point that I am addicted to purses and bags, so it may come as no surprise that I am having the hardest time deciding on a diaper bag. I want something that is going to be functional, but not look like a diaper bag! I’m currently leaning towards this one from skip hop but if you have any recommendations please let me know! I also know I’ll be using my big totes as well and just adding in the totesavvy insert!
Other Things ||
- I scheduled a pediatrician interview for June and I’m really excited because the doctor is a recommendation from the source I trust the most, my sister!
- I registered us for the full day birth and CPR training class at the hospital and I’m oddly excited! I have zero clue how to swaddle, so I’ll be paying close attention!
- We are in the midst of coordinating two rather large weddings that are both in June! Thankfully we get about two weeks in between each wedding, but it’s going to be a bit crazy leading up to it.
- Just found out that Loft has a maternity section online – I’m a huge fan of their shorts so I will be stocking up for summer!
- How fun is it that Welch’s just launched a non-alcoholic sparkling rose – I’ll definitely be sipping on that this summer!
- Thanks to my parents, we are hooked on yet another show on AMC called McMafia. There’s only one season so far and it’s currently on air, but you can catch up with all the episodes (i.e. binge watch) using the AMC app if you have an Apple TV. We’re currently on episode 4 and new ones air every Monday night.
Hope you have the best weekend friends!
Lovely post!

I like the dupe blush acrylic bag but I hadn't thought about stuff falling out of those bags until you just mentioned it lol. That would make me nervous too, but a pouch will do the trick! Yay for still having a taste of rose this summer! Happy Friday girlfriend!

Yay for a non-alcoholic Sparkling Rose!!! And nailing down a really good Pediatrician!! I can so see you that CUTE striped jersey dress!! Have a beautiful weekend!
I loved H&M stuff when I was pregnant with Cam! I've heard great things about ASOS too but since it's not somewhere I normally shop, I always forget about it. I love that Skip Hop diaper bag, so cute! I reallllly want a Fawn Design one if we have another kid! I think they are gorgeous!
I used to loooove the maternity selection at h&m, loft and gap! Also, re shoes, i actually went up a half size during my first pregnancy… some people do so the size you buy may or may not fit. Happy Friday!
That's so awesome that they're coming out with a non-alcoholic rose! Just in time! I really like that diaper bag you have picked right now.
That first picture is gorgeous!! Travel goals for sure with the setting! Have a great weekend π

Yay for non-alcoholic rosΓ©! That's great that you're taking that class! (Although two kids later and I *still* cannot swaddle properly…whoops! Brandon's the master over here.) I'm sure you do, but take a list of questions/concerns/scenarios to the pediatrician appointment with you if you can. It's so hard knowing what to ask and what you want to know, and if you're like me, I think of about 20 questions I want to ask when I leave! Have a wonderful weekend, girl!
how cute are those wedges? and non alcoholic rose sounds amazing for you! def snag that. all my mom friends swear by diaper bags in the form of a back pack so i think if you go that route you'll be good! that one you posted is super cute and i'd say the only thing i'd worry about is making sure it doesnt get dirty. i feel like those bags can get tossed around a bit. anyway, still adorable! have a great weekend love!
xoxo cheshire kat
Those wedges are so cute! And how exciting that you guys are already starting to look for a pediatrician. Those are the kinds of things that remind you just how real it's about to get!!
That blush bag is the cutest!! Haven't seen that color yet- you should totally treat yoself and get it… and the wedges!
xo, Kristina
My friend uses the insert with her purse and loves it! I ended up getting a skiphop diaper bag and then ended up upgrading to one of the freshly picked diaper backpacks. Being able to use both of your hands is awesome! And definitely grab a pair or two of those Loft maternity shorts! I lived in them last summer! And I saw all of those commercials for McMafia but we never set it up to record. Iβll have to remember it for this summer when we want something new to watch! Have a great weekend!
The tote with an insert is the way to go! I actually bought the SkipHop and Rosie Pope backpack diaper bags and wasn't a fun of either. I ended up getting the Freshly Picked one and really love it because it holds a TON and is very logical in the way it works (if that makes any sense lol.) Loft's maternity section was such a life saver for me, it is the best!!
Can I give you some advice on the diaper bag? Look at backpack diaper bags. I got one from SkipHop that was super pretty, but it just didnt hold much. We've since moved to a backpack and it's SO much more convenient. Just my two cents since we got one (expensive) diaper bag, and ended up getting the backpack later when it was just annoying. One less thing hanging off of your shoulder with a baby/carrier, etc is SO helpful!
OK that blush bag is SO cute- you always find the best dupes! I agree with you- I cannot believe how fast this year is going! Baby girl will be here before you know it! π Have the best weekend!
I'm very interested in trying that Welch's sparkling rose!!! Perfect for baby showers, in my opinion!!!
All my new mom friends have been carrying a real stylish back pack sort of thing. its ADORABLE!!!!! It opens up wide at the top & the back has a place for bottles to stay cold. I told them I wanted it myself & using the bottle area for water bottles π haha – Its actually on Amazon for like $35.00 too – check out back pack diaper bags!
I now need to pick up the Welch's rose! Especially since I have some expectant mom friends that I am sure would enjoy. Jess at Just Jess
That H&M dress looks really cute and comfy and I love those sandals!
Ahhh!!! I have missed so much! Congratulations!! Iβm doinf a happy dance for you right now. :)) During my last pregnancy, I loved my Ja-vie flats and Gap Maternity. A friend from work tried the rent a service for maternity clothes and loved it. Happy Weekend!
I love those wedges! I have been wanting another pair by Marc Fisher since I love mine so much. I have seen those tote inserts which I bet would be nice. I have the backpack by Fawn. I don't know that it specifically is better than anything else, but I have liked having a backpack for hands free. I am sure whatever you get will be great!

That floral top is so pretty, and I agree with you that the striped dress will be perfect with a jean jacket. Enjoy all those personal purchases while you can! π
I love H&M for maternity dresses. I still use my totesavvy and I don't have to carry around as much for the boys anymore, but I organize all of my things it and it works out perfect. I hope you have a great weekend! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
I got a pair of maternity jeans and nursing bras from H&M and love them! I also loved ASOS; their ridley maternity jeans are so incredibly soft and comfy. I've actually tried to wear them after having Aviah, but they don't fit, too big π Otherwise, I'd totally wear them now! Skip Hop is a great brand, I love that their toys are BPA free, but I've never looked into their diaper bags, though I do have a changing mat from them. My diaper bag is from Honest. It's a little pricey, is vegan leather, but has been so incredibly functional and chic. She makes different styles, both back packs and satchel styles. Eddie and I didn't take any classes, though I'm wondering if taking one would've helped more with my labor. I was a complete drama queen and I know drove everyone nuts, lol. I thought I was in labor about 10 times. I went to the hospital so much that the nearly the entire maternity ward knew me by name, lol. I just couldn't take the contractions and I'm sure lessons on breathing through it would've helped. As for swaddling, my night nurse is the one who simplified it for us making the analogy of wrapping her like a burrito, lol. Ah, I miss those swaddle days π They look so cute tucked in their little blankets. Enjoy the shopping for you, but girl, you are going to have SO MUCH fun shopping for your baby girl. I have so much more fun shopping for Aviah than I do myself. Thanks for sharing these updates with us, beauty, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!
XO,
Jalisa
THE STYLE CONTOUR
this is such an exciting time for you!!! I can't wait to follow the progress and when the baby comes! catchatwithcarenandcody
I have the bag but in the original brown wooden version. I use this clear pouch in mine because I was also weary of just using it without anything: misssouthernblog.blogspot.com/2018/04/my-friday-favorites.html
I know yours wouldn't be so easy to hide the black on this one but just an idea. Have a good weekend!
That pink bag is so cute and I love that it's not wooden- although those are cute too- I just like different things! H&M kids stuff is super cute too- I never tried any of their maternity. Have a good weekend!
The H&M dress looks so cute!

Thirteen Thoughts
So many baby things coming up, so exciting!! Those wedges are adorable!
Those wedges are fabulous. When I was looking for a diaper bag, I wanted something that didn't look like a diaper bag as well. I went with a coach bag, and while I do love it….I really wish I would have gone with something with a bookbag option. Trying to carry Zoe on one arm and balance the tote in the other….especially when she has become heavier and squirmier….can be quiet an ordeal! I still use the tote, but I usually make Chris carry it if he is with me….or I just grab a diaper and her cup and throw it in one of my purses. I am looking at bookbag purses as a replacement right now.
That diaper bag looks super cute yet not too diaper bag ish and fully functional! I'd like to upgrade to a new bag soon as I've been using the same tote for 3 years now and I think the things I love the most are lots of pockets/organization and one thing I think I'd like more would be a backpack style for easier carrying. Just my opinion, if it helps! π
