Happy Monday friends! We had a wonderful, albeit wet, weekend here in Boston. Celebrating Sophia’s first Passover and Easter was such a treat. I had an extra day with Sophia on Friday. I also forget how much I can get done with having an extra day to the weekend! Before I get into my post, I wanted to let all my Boston friends know that I’m hosting an event at the Loft in Prudential Center this Thursday from 5:30-7:30 PM. If you’re local, hope you’ll stop by! I went there on Friday to pick out my outfit for the event and also took advantage of the sale – I picked up this fun spring top, my go to work pants& these perfect shorts for summer!

Here’s what I’ve been reading lately!
One in a Million || One word to describe this book – delightful! In our social media obsessed world, it’s hard to think of someone that could care less about everything that goes along with being online – this in a nutshell is Sam! Annie could not be more different if she tried, in fact she owns her own social media company. She makes a bet that she can make anyone #InstaFamous in 30 days and that’s how Sam and Annie meet. Everyone learns a little something through the experience. It’s truly a feel good read!
Nowhere But Here || I’m a fan of Renee Carlino books, but I will say this one was a bit heavy on the cheesy factor! As much as I really enjoyed the journey that Kate was on – it felt a little too Hallmark Movie for me, which I just wasn’t expecting. Kate feels alone and when she’s sent on assignment to interview the elusive RJ Lawson, tech-boy genius, in Napa, she meets him and Jamie – the jack of all trades at the winery. Kate and Jamie fall pretty hard for one another, but each of them holding something back.
Hopeless (Kindle Unlimited) || Colleen Hoover does it again! Oh my goodness did this book absolutely shatter me! There were two major twists that I just didn’t see coming and not in a thriller sort of way, just in the my mind didn’t even go to that place, how is that possible?! Sky is drawn to Holder in a way she’s never been to another person, but when she finds out why her entire life will change! While this book is about two high school kids, it’s got so much depth that you forget that point quickly! One of my favorite books that I’ve read in a long time!
One Plus One || Absolutely LOVED this book! Jojo Moyes is a fantastic writer and you can really feel what each character is going through. Jess’s life pretty much sucks – her husband isn’t in the picture leaving her to fend for their daughter and her step son on her own. Trying to hold down two jobs and find enough time to be there for her kids as well. Ed is a millionaire that made a not so smart choice and is forced to reevaluate his life. Ed decides to do a good deed and drive Jess along with her two kids and ginormous dog to a Math Olympiad. He first rescues them and then they rescue him. I honestly didn’t want the book to end – it was such a fantastic read!
Marriage Vacation|| If you’re a fan of the show Younger then you know that this book was written into the show and then they actually wrote the book. Kate needs a break and after attending a friends wedding in California sans kids and husband, she decides to get away for a little bit. When that turns into a full fledged marriage vacation, it causes her to really reevaluate where the old Kate went! I will be honest and say that I had the hardest time reading the first few chapters and even stopped for a couple months and then picked it back up. I wish I had powered through the first time because this was a really fun read. If you’ve never seen the show, then I think you’ll still enjoy the book, but having an image in my mind of the characters really helped!
How was your holiday weekend? Read any good books lately?
How fun to celebrate another first holiday with Sophia! Younger is one of my favorite shows and I have had Marriage Vacation on my list of books to read since I heard they actually made a book! Good to know you would recommend it — having an image in your head of the characters always helps! Happy Monday, BIana!
