Packing lists are some of my favorite things to put together – mostly because that means we’re about to go away on vacation! Sophia is totally packed except for a few items that I have to pick up in different sizes for her, grows like a weed that one! Since we’re driving I can finally over pack to my hearts content. The weather is definitely a bit chillier than I was expecting for late May, but considering it’s still pretty cold here in Boston that shouldn’t really surprise me! I’m thinking it’s going to be very similar to what we experienced in Ireland, so I’m planning lots of layers. We plan on doing a lot of sightseeing coupled with some baby friendly restaurant eating, which means going out for dinner at 5:00 PM, so nothing fancy needed! Along with the a two pairs of jeans and some fun layering tops – here’s what I’m planning on bringing.
- Makeup Travel Case || Definitely bringing this makeup travel case which is perfect for trips! Everything has it’s own little spot, including brushes that I normally have to carry in another bag.
- Packable Down Jacket|| In case it gets much colder than anticipated, I am bringing my lightweight down jacket. I love the khaki color and that it doesn’t really take up much space at all!
- Shoes || This is where I tend to over pack! I will definitely be bringing my espadrilles and slip on sneakers. As for the rain we’re expected to see during the trip, definitely packing myshort rain boots.
- Vest || A quilted vest is one of my more versatile pieces that will also provide that extra layer for warmth!
- Versatile cardigan || For those dinners at a slightly fancier restaurant, this ruffle cardigan can absolutely be dressed up.
- Leopard print scarf|| The perfect light weight option in case there is a bit of a chill, which I’m 100% expecting.
- Travel Umbrella|| Can’t forget the umbrella that I know we’ll be using a lot! I picked this one up when we went to Ireland last year – compact and came in super handy!
I’m sure for everything I listed here, I’ll pack double! What else am I missing?
These will all be perfect for your trip–and so true that the weather is still surprisingly cold here for May lol! Can't wait to see you today friend!

Look how little that umbrella is! Does it expand to full size coverage?
I need those espadrilles, they are so cute!
Love that cardigan. I overpack shoes too, it is so hard to plan for everything. I am attempting to only bring one pair and wear the other for my upcoming trip, we shall see!
Y'all are going to have so much fun! And I'm right there with you… I always pack way too many pairs of shoes. One year when my girlfriends and I went to the beach together we took a picture of all of our shoes we had packed because it was absurd. Lol. I think we had packed, like, 25 pairs among the three of us just for a four day weekend. Haha.
We always over pack the twins but if you're going to do baths with Sophia, make sure to bring her own products!! So excited to follow along on your adventure! XOXO, R
I always overpack if we drive because I can haha! Yes to a quilted vest because they add so much warmth without being baggy.

I keep laughing about an upcoming trip of ours because the early kid friendly dinner totally change the wardrobe you pack for yourself! I would be lost without a packing list – love those espadrilles!
Y'all are going to have SO much fun!! Vests are the perfect layering options on trips!
I need that make up bag and those espadrilles. So cute.
Very chilly in the Northeast for May! Hope you have a great trip!
I think that I'm one of the few people that didn't love that makeup travel case! But you can't beat the hard sides to keep everything intact. I'm sure you're going to have the best trip, and everything you've packed looks perfect!
Just sayin',

Let's get one thing straight from the offset: Canada is big. Not just big, in fact, but huge and of course beautiful.
I still want one of those make up cases, but I think Tom will revolt if my sundries/make up supplies get any bigger… LOL Hope you all have a great trip!! Love the flexibility of driving!
What a fun trip!! I saw those espadrilles on Amazon a few weeks ago, and they are sitting on my wish list. Are they comfortable? I need to pick up that makeup case too!
Sounds like a fun trip! Love your picks, especially the jacket.
