Two Truths and a Lie || This was one of the quickest reads for me and needs to be added to your list immediately! I absolutely LOVED it and maybe that was because it took place in a place I have shared so much on this blog, Newburyport, MA. Sherri and her daughter recently moved to this idyllic coastal town and they must now get to know the lay of the land during the summer before the cliquey school year starts. It’s not just the kids that are cliquey, it’s the mom’s too – the squad as they like to call themselves of 12 ladies. Alexa is about to turn 18 and can’t even wait to leave for her next adventure, one her mom doesn’t even know about. Rebecca is still reeling from the sudden loss in her life, but is she ready to move on? What do these three have in common – they all have a secret and some secrets you just cant tell no matter how badly you want to! Don’t sleep on this book – it is the perfect mix of Big Little Lies and just a great beach read!
The Soulmate Equation || I have had this book on my TBR list for such a long time and it didn’t disappoint! Jess is a single mom, statistician and pretty much as far away from having a love life as one could have. River is a regular at the coffee shop she goes to every day and there is something about him and when she finds out his company basically matches people based on DNA, she sends in a sample on a whim. She cant believe it when not only does she have a match, but a diamond match of more than 98%. Can she get past all her preconceived notions of what she thought of River to give him a chance!? I could not have loved this book more! The characters were all believable, the storyline reminded me of a good chick flick and it was just a feel good all around read! Worth it for sure!
Tell Me Everything || It had been a while since I read a dark novel like this and the crazy thing was you didn’t realize it was a dark read until you got into the thick of it. This book takes you through Freshman and Senior year for Malin and her group of friends. With Malin being the main character you aren’t really sure why she is the way she is until the very end, but the author gives you little snippets. Even though she is far from the group leader, each of her friends shares their secrets with her and she uses them to her advantage through all 4 years of college. It was a wild a read and my guess is you will not figure out the twist!
Such a Fun Age || Reading this, I just felt like it was going to be made into a movie and since it was one of Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club picks, I can’t help thinking that it might be. Alix is a woman who always gets what she wants. She has a great husband, great career and two daughters that she loves. Emira couldn’t be more different – she is a fresh graduate with very little direction in her life. The only thing that Emira and Alix have in common is that they both love Alix’s children – Emira is Alix’s babysitter. After a not so nice encounter Emira has during one of her shifts, Alix takes it upon herself to make sure Emira never feels less than. This book explored race and privilege in a really interesting way. I really liked the book, but I felt like the ending was too abrupt. Overall, it was a really great book that I hope gets made into a movie.
What are you currently reading?
The sound really good but abrupt endings do kind of make me mad it’s like that big big build up and then it’s over, LOL! The sound really great and I hope you and your family of four is doing terrific!
How do you find so much time to read!? I love reading but admit I’m so bad at committing to it :/

These all sound like great reads. I am currently working my way through What Comes After. I am not sure how I feel about it yet. Seems a bit wordy but I suppose, it’s setting up the story line. Anyway, you peaked my interest with Tell Me Everything and I can’t wait to read it. I hope your week went well and happy Friday!
