Happy Wednesday, friends! It has been a little bit since I did a good beauty haul and I have been buying lots of new goodies these last few months so wanted to share some thoughts on them!
Ordinary Bright Set || This is my first time using any Ordinary products and I absolutely love them, not to mention the price. In the set you get a toner, cleanser, under eye brightener and my favorite – the Vitamin C Serum. I have already used up the entire serum and repurchased just that on it’s own. I have noticed my skin becoming brighter and less dull!
Inkey Peptide Moisturizer || Another great bang for your buck item! I really like the dispenser on this – it’s a push top so very little product waste or mess in general. it’s a light weight moisturizer that I use day and night. It targets fine lines and skin’s elasticity – another winner, but I would happily try other moisturizers as well.
Makeup Revolution Eye Bright Concealer || I’ve never heard of this brand before, but spotted this in Target and decided to give it a whirl. What I like is the sponge applicator and consistency – it’s not super thick. I don’t think I got a light enough color for it to conceal a ton, but it does work. Could also be used as an all over super light coverup.
Bakuchiol Booster || Bakuchiol is a natural retinol alternative, which is what I have to use right now since I’m still nursing. It should be used at night as part of your skincare routine. I like that it’s lightweight, but the smell is a little off-putting. Also TBD on if it works since I have only used it for a few weeks, but relatively low commitment with the price and size of bottle.
Vitamin C Serum || When I ran out of the Ordinary serum I picked this up at Target just to have something and it’s not my favorite. It’s very runny instead of being serum like and again the smell is not so nice. Hard to mess up vitamin c serum, so it’s okay on that front. For $20 I would not repurchase.
Powder Blush Trio || I really like Milani products and these blushes are no exception. I usually opt for a pink color, but love that this come with a peach as well. The darker shade is too dark for me to use as a blush, but it makes a perfect bronzer alternative.
Rose Lip Balm || This is the product all dry lips need! Gives you the perfect little kiss of color and hydrates your lips so nicely!
Tarte Fake Awake Highlight || I may be using this liner incorrectly, but it just does nothing for me. It’s supposed to make your eyes brighter by lining the waterline and perhaps my waterline is a little too wet because I cant really get the liner to show up. This will last a long time since it’s a liner, but it may take a little more time for me to see a benefit.
NYX Long Lasting Gloss || I got the color “cash flow” which a light dusty rose and I love it. It really is long lasting and doesn’t budge. However, if your lips are even slightly dry, the cracks will show up so you want to make sure your lips are nice and moisturized before applying the lip gloss.
NYX Primer || I will admit I was drawn to the packaging on this at first, but holy smokes does it work. It does such a nice job of smoothing out your face before you apply your makeup and the added bonus is the amazing smell.
NYX Bare With Me Concealer || This is a much thicker concealer than the Makeup Revolution one, but I will say paired together I do get the best coverage and color correction for the dark circles. Hello sleep regression! Depending on what color you get, you could use this a foundation as well.
Maybelline 4 in 1 Perfector || I think I saw someone on TikTok using this and purchased it right away. If you like a dewey more natural finish, this is a great all over foundation. It’s very light and I wouldn’t even say it’s buildable, it’s just a more natural coverup. It does come with a sponge applicator on the top, but I find that I have to still blend it out to get it in all the spots on my face.
NYX Milky Gloss || This is a very sheer gloss and in the color “milk it pink” you get absolutely no color, just bringing out your natural pink lip. It reminds me of the Laniege lip sleep mask, so it’s great to have on over a lipstick that you like if you want a more glossy look.

I have heard a lot of great things about that primer. It is always sold out at my stores when I walk past the NYX stuff. I am finishing up my Colleen Rothschild one that I absolutely love, but the price tag on this is a lot better. Maybe need to try it next.
Makeup Revolution is a British brand, I think. I’m dying to try it out but opted for a ColourPop palette instead. Have you tried to NYX photo finish primer? It’s supposed to be a dupe for Smashbox. Will report back. I almost got the marshmallow one bc I remember you loved it 🤣 I love most NYX products. You can’t beat them for the price. I’m not a fan of their mascara or felt tip eyeliners, and I don’t know how to match my skin tone so I’m on Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for life 🤣 If you’re looking for another under eye brightener, I’ve been using FAB for a year and I wasn’t sure if it was really doing anything but the one day I didn’t wear it I ran into a friend (naturally) and she said, “WOW. You look SO tired!” So now I won’t leave home without it 🤣
Also, I have seen the Maybelline 4-in-1 perfector all over social but I don’t know how to match my skin tone so I’m stuck with my IT cosmetics for now 🤣 Can you tell I didn’t wear makeup until college?! 🤣🤣🤣

I just started serum because I finally – at 50 years old – am starting a face regimen – I dont even know what its for – LOL – it makes my face feel sticky – so when you said this is runny & not usual – I’m like, OK – I guess serum SHOULD be sticky? LOL
I need that rose lip balm! Sorry to hear about the serum – so frustrating!
I have an eyeshadow primer by Makeup Revolution that I bought when we were in Amsterdam. I forgot to pack my eyeshadow primer so I had to buy one haha. It is OK, definitely not as good as NARS. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these products and I hope that you are enjoying your day! XO

I’ve been looking for a good concealer for the bags under my eyes. Mine are hereditary so they’re always there no matter how much sleep I get, and they’re getting worse the older I get. Boooo. I might have to check out this NYX concealer!
