Happy Monday, friends! It has been quite some time since I’ve done a weekend recap and this felt like a good one to bring that back because it was equal parts productive as it was fun. It’s a little wild to me that we are now a family that has to plan around Sophia’s weekend activities – including dance and swim!
Saturday was Mason’s 7 month birthday – of course we had a mini photoshoot but these are getting a little harder since he just wants to eat / bite everything in his line of vision! He is about to cut his two bottom teeth (we have had some wacky sleep lately) but I am both excited for him to have those adorable teeth and sad he wont have a gummy smile anymore!
Thankfully Sophia’s dance class is early enough on Saturday’s that we don’t have to worry about not having the full day ahead of us. After ballet we jetted into the city, something we haven’t done in ages. Gary had to do a few things at our condo while the renter was out and I decided to take the kids to the park and have some lunch. It was SO nice being back in our old neighborhood. It’s almost exactly one year since we moved into our house and it feels like no time has passed yet somehow so much time has gone by. We popped into a few stores and mostly just introduced Mason to our old stomping grounds.
My least favorite thing about swim class is that it takes place right smack dab in the middle of the day on Sunday’s. Sometimes we have to skip because I don’t want to miss out on other things, but this time we took the whole family for the half hour swim class and followed it up with a trip to the nursery. I am beyond excited to do a lot of planting – our new planters arrived last week. We also got some hydrangeas since I am fairly certain the ones I planted a few weeks ago will not bloom this year.
This weekend was the perfect taste of what I hope will be a full spring / summer of nice weather!
Mason is growing so fast! I love those first little bucktooth grins lol! Also looking forward to the days of dance classes for E!!
Mason’s smile is the BEST!
I remember going to swim class so fun you all got to go. Sweet Mason, I can’t believe he’s 7 months already.
Those flowers!! It looks like you guys had a great weekend. It’s already 100 degrees here, so I’m ready to jet off somewhere cooler.
I always say that Zoe’s calendar is much fuller than mine! Between dance, gymnastics and birthday parties we are always on the go! I love hydrangeas! I hope they work out for you. I want to rip up the bushes on the side of our house and replace them with some hydrangeas.
Looks like a wonderful weekend, and that tree with the pink flowers is beautiful! Mason is just the CUTEST little guy and Sophia looks so happy. That is exciting about your planting too!! I love doing that kind of stuff even here in the city haha. Have a great day my friend! XO, Caroline
Everything is blooming. Those cherry blossoms are so pretty. I can’t believe Mason is already 7 months old. Time flies!
How is little man already 7 months?! And yay for beautiful weather and all the spring things. I hear ya on classes being scheduled right in the middle of the day. I am so not an early riser, but I’d prefer to get a class out of the way so we still have the day ahead of us and not interrupt nap time either.
UGH – I hate something in the middle of the day – that does mess up a schedule.
I love that pic of sophia smiling so big with the flowers behind her – its infectious
Mason is the cutest. He always looks so smiley and happy!
