Happy Monday, friends! Last week I was invited to Nantucket with Shop Nantucket to shop with some of the retailers and enjoy the island for a little influencer day! This trip was rescheduled once due to weather so when I looked at the forecast and saw rain, I was seriously hoping it would pass over and thankfully we had an absolutely perfect weather day on the island. Ashleigh, Steph, Jacci and I had an absolute blast exploring and literally shopped until we dropped!
I had to leave pretty early to catch the ferry from Hyannis, which is on the Cape so about 1.5 hours from the city. We took the 9:30 AM high speed ferry from Hy-Line Cruises and an hour later we were stepping off the boat! What I love about the retailers on the island is that they are not found everywhere and in some cases the only or one of very few locations anywhere!
We started at Respoke, which came about from the owners love of luxury items! Someone after my own heart! Everything in the store is repurposed from luxury scarves – specifically the handmade in Spain espadrilles. We were gifted his book – Bringing Home the Birkin – the story of how the owner came to acquire so many of his luxury bags! After, we walked to the nearby Native Shoes, which happens to be the only store in the United States. I am a big fan of their shoes for kids and we were gifted a choice of our favorite pair. I ended up choosing the new Robbie sneaker for Sophia and let me tell you – she has not stopped wearing them since I got home.
Everywhere you turn, there’s beautiful flowers or water surrounding you! Each of the stores also looks like it belongs in a Nancy Meyers movie. Just take a peek at how cute the outside of the BeautyCounter Store is – only one of 4 in the country too!
Plenty of photo worthy stops around the island and I had a great group of girls with me to enjoy the day! SkinnyDip Collective is one of those stores where you walk in and want to get one of everything! We lucked out because they gifted us their Ellsworth & Ivy “Nantucket” sweater!
There are a ton of places that are worth eating at on the island and honestly that would be reason enough to go back, but we ate at one of my favorites – Oath Pizza, the original location!
We stopped into Summer Shades and I am still thinking of the gorgeous pair of Chanel sunglasses I tried on. Then made our way to Borobabi, the first circular retailer in the United States. When your kids outgrown their clothes, you simply return it back to Borobabi, regardless of the condition that they’re in and you get a 20% credit towards your next purchase! We were all in need of a little downtime, so on the way to the White Elephant we stopped into Sara Campbell! I loved all the accessories!
I’ve already decided that when, not if, but when we go back to Nantucket I want to stay at the White Elephant! I had their frosè and we just relaxed after a full day of walking!!
At every corner while walking there is something to look at – whether it’s the ocean, the beautiful houses or just the feeling of being on this amazing island!
There’s no leaving the island without stopping at Aunt Leah’s world famous fudge shop! I have been eating the chocolate covered cranberries for the past week – they are so good! As is the fudge – truly is delicious!
Is a day trip to Nantucket doable, absolutely, because I did do it! But, it would be so much more enjoyable to stay a few nights on the island to enjoy the beaches, more restaurants and everything the island has to offer! So if you ever find yourself with a day in or around Boston and want to make it to Nantucket – do it! You wont regret your time there!
Nantucket is on our family bucket list! You just made me want to hop on a ferry asap!
What a fun day!! I enjoyed following along on Instagram! It looks like y’all had the best time!
Such a beautiful day! My fingers and toes are crossed that we can head over on the ferry when we’re on the Cape in a few weeks. There are a lot of wedding festivities throughout the weekend, so we’re trying to squeeze it in <3
Oh what a FUN time!! I want to go!
