Happy Monday, friends. It’s been a little bit and in between trying to enjoy all the moments, a work conference and planning for things this summer – the blog has taken a little bit of a back seat for me! So I’m jumping back in with some recent reads. These would all be great to pack for vacation or for some relaxing at home.

The Deal || Hannah & Garrett could not be more different. He’s the star hockey player and she’s ready to tackle the spring chorus concert to get her scholarship for next year. Garrett needs help in a class that Hannah seems to be the only person who was able to pass the mid-term. Garrett and Hannah strike up a deal, she helps him study and he’ll make her “stock” go up so she has a shot of dating the guy she really wants to. Only problem is, she starts to develop feelings for Garrett and that just can’t happen – especially since he made it perfectly clear he doesn’t do girlfriends! This was a light and easy read – definitely something easy to pass the time.

In a New York Minute || Franny’s day was already pretty bad, but then it goes from bad to worse when her dress gets caught it the subway doors and rips. Her only saving grace is a stranger who graciously gives his jacket to cover her mishap up. After she’s exposed herself with some rather embarrassing tidbits, he’s gone and she’s left with a jacket and a viral media frenzy of being #subwayQTs! After their brief stint with fame, Hayes hires Franny to decorate his new office and their friendship blossoms! The book did drag on a little bit, but overall it’s a super cute, light, romantic, feel good read!

The Lies I Tell || Meg is leading quite the double and even triple life. She’s Maggie in one state, Melody in another that is until she’s back in LA where everything started. Kat has been tracking Meg for over a decade but just how their lives are connected is pretty wild. A story half about revenge and half about sticking up for the women that get wronged. The chapters alternate between the present and the past for the full picture and the ending had me gaping with my mouth open – it was a shock for sure. There are points where you think you should be against Meg but somehow find yourself on her side and then other times you wonder how stupid Kat could really be. I enjoyed it and it’s a thriller, but not scary in the least.

Blushing in the Big Leagues || It’s been a while since I’ve read an RS Grey book and now I have a full stack ready to go again because I just love the writing and to be honest who doesn’t love a slow burn romance? Tate has a rule, she doesn’t date baseball players – her brother happens to be one and has made it pretty clear that everyone on the team needs to stay away from Tate. When Tate meets Grant she has no idea he’s the newest player on the team and their chemistry is off the charts, but their romance is also pretty forbidden. You just find yourself flying through these types of books because it all gets buttoned up so nicely in the epilogue. This is part of a series, but you can read as a standalone as well. Loved the characters and loved the love story.

My next book post should be pretty soon as well since I just repurchased my Kindle Unlimited membership and am adding books left and right, just in time for summer and hopefully some relaxing! What are you reading right now?

These all sound like great summer reads, and I’m adding them to my library list! I just finished The Party Crasher by Sofie Kinsela.

I’ve been spotty with blogging lately too, but feel great when I do show back up. I’ve heard the same review for New York Minute, but still want to check it out. Looks cute!
