Well hello there friends!! I hate starting posts out talking about weather…but when it’s as erratic as it has been in New England you sort of have to – gorgeous on Friday and we woke up to snow on Sunday!! WHAT?! That didn’t stop us from having a fun filled weekend – here’s what we got up to!
Friday after work I headed out to drinks and dinner with my friend who’s getting married in the Bahamas in December!! It was so much fun hearing about what she has in store for all of us and I’m already looking forward to being on the beach in December!
We stopped by Washington Square Tavern to enjoy a few drinks and their amazing cheese plate and then walked over to Barcelona where I couldn’t believe the crowd at the bar!!
Luckily they had plenty of space outside to enjoy our drinks! Not pictured the sushi we devoured later in the evening – it was the perfect girl’s night!
Saturday was seriously gross and after a pure barre class and grocery shopping we stuck to the indoors and got it ALL done!! Fun lunch recipe coming to the blog later this week!! Gross weather also calls for new shows!! We started season 1 of The Americans – it’s an FX show, but we started streaming it on Amazon and we’re hooked!

We met our friends for dinner at Banyan Bar + Refuge in the South End. It’s been open for about 9 months and has almost a cult following, I’d say their cocktail menu was one of the most fun I’ve seen! If you’ve seen the episode of Sex & The City where they go the Raw restaurant (where Samantha meets Smith) and all the ladies are confused with how ordering and the food works – that’s exactly how I felt at Banyan!
It’s Asian style tapas and you know if there is anything lobster related on the menu I’m going to try it! The presentation of the food was great and tasted amazing! The portions are on the smaller side – hence the tapas, but we still managed to leave pretty full!

Our lazy Sunday included brunch at Del Frisco’s Grille & a little shopping!
I picked up another shadow stick from Bobbi Brown in the color dusty mauve & also a pretty pink lip gloss! I have a post lined up with all my current make-up favorites and these shadow sticks are the my favorite!! Oh, if you’re wondering if Lauren Conrad’s new book Celebrate is worth the download – it totally is!

Yep, snow here and crazy snow while we we in Chicago, calling for more Thursday!! What a cute pineapple quote! I would be all over that restaurants cocktail menu, lol. We love the Americans sooooo much, such a good show, in season 3 and it gets better and better. What a fantastic and fun weekend, yay and cheers to the week ahead gorgeous!!
Asian style tapas?? Yum! Your weekend looked really tasty (even that pup seemed to agree when he was licking Gary's face haha). I turned on the news this morning and the guy was in Boston saying you guys are gonna get 3-5 inches today??? What the what? We went from 84 degrees on Friday to 40s yesterday and I had to bust out my winter coat again. What gives, mother nature? Hope you guys don't get too much snow!!
Snow?? So crazy!!! We had wonderful 70 degree weather yesterday…..maybe that will be your last snow and spring will finally be here to stay for y'all. Your snaps of the weekend looked wonderful!!!

I don't know if I'd call this weekends weather gross, but crazy yes. I was wearing shorts on Friday and a ski jacket sunday. You're always so in tune with Boston's restaurant scene, we only eat out ~2-3 per month but you always give me great ideas for places to try.
I'm staring at the snow coming down right now and I'm seriously like how is this happening?!?! The Banyan Bar + Refuge sounds right up my alley!! I'll have to remember that place!! =)

Aww Koa is SO cute!!! Chris loved The Americans but honestly I hated it. Kerri Russell's character annoyed me so much and I felt like I could not get into it..Glad that you like it though!! 🙂 It rained, snowed, and was sunny here on Saturday so I hear you on the weather. That totally sucks about the crazy weather that y'all have had! It was very chilly this morning in Texas too, and I don't like it! Despite the crazy weather it sounds like you had a great weekend! Catching up with girlfriends is the best, and all of the food you had this weekend sounds amazing!

You get to go the Bahamas?! Very jealous! I went their for my (1st lol) honeymoon and it was amazing. Here on the West Coast we always to go Hawaii so the Bahamas seem extra extravagant :). I know, I can't believe the weather either! Friday was amazing and these past couple of days have had me itching my head…where is April?! Hopefully it'll start to warm up soon! Those cheeses look amazing, especially the purplish one in the middle, so different! My husband and I have been wanting to go to a wine and cheese spot for a while, there's one not too far from wear we live, but we always forget. After seeing these pics, I'll definitely remember, haha! I'm the same with lobster, if it's on the menu, everyone knows that I'll be ordering it and that dish looks amazing! We saw all the snow in Boston on Good Morning America this morning and I was shocked!! SO nuts for the beginning of April! How fun that you're going to be in a destination wedding this year!! One of my best friends from college is talking about getting married down in the Caribbean, and we wouldn't miss it for the world. Getting to vacation AND be a part of a close friend's wedding is a win/win!
