Happy Monday, friends! We wrapped up the last weekend of August with a visit to Parlee Farms! We didn’t quite make it with peach picking with the season ending the weekend before last, but they still had blueberries, a fun farm and best of all – pick your own flowers. This was our first visit to Parlee and I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to make our way there. It’s a little under an hour outside of Boston, but there is nothing quite like the fresh air on a farm.
Checking the forecast, Sunday was the most perfect day to visit the farm – breezy, but the sun was shining. They have COVID precautions in place, plenty of sanitizing stations and with it being a farm, there is plenty of space to socially distance.
Our first stop was the little area they have with goats and bunnies. You can purchase the food to feed the animals for $.75. Sophia is fearless when it comes to animals and just wants to get in there with all of the goats. They have so many baby goats – is there anything cuter?
The flower field was something I have never seen before – imagine an apple orchard and it was just filled with flowers. It’s $2/pp in the field and then you’re free to cut all the flowers you want, you’re just charged by weight. The pale and scissors that you’re given have been sanitized and I also saw some people bringing their own vases to put the flowers in right then. If you were having a small intimate wedding or celebration, I think this would be incredible to have farm fresh flowers.
This was such a fun morning outing, but I will say that their hours are shorter in the Summer and pick back up in the Fall, so something to look forward to if you want to head there for some apple cider donuts, pumpkin and apple picking.
Have you ever been to a flower farm before?
I haven’t ever been to a flower farm before. What a fun adventure, and a great way to end the month!!
I’ve always wanted to go to a pick your own flower field before! These pictures are so fun and vibrant and I’m so glad you guys had such a great time and beautiful weather!
Sophia & the goats — too cute! I remember being her age, and I was *not* fearless with animals! I recall being hysterical and sobbing when my parents stuck me with the goats, lol.
I used to live in Westford, MA and we used to go here – their apple cider donuts are amazing!
This looks so fun, especially on a beautiful day! I’m definitely going to see if there’s something like this near me – farm fresh flowers are the best!

What beautiful flowers! We’ve been to a sunflower farm and a tulip farm before I just love the variety you had to choose from.
This is such a great way to close out the weekend and even the season! We have a few farms near us, I’ll have to see if they have something like this going on. They offer pumpkin picking, so I’m sure they have something. Thank you for sharing this! Sophia is absolutely adorable; she has your smile! It looks like she had so much fun exploring, too. I’m also loving your outfit! Have a great week, beautiful!
