Happy Monday friends! Coming to you from my first day of maternity leave and already not sure what to do with myself! Thankfully my mom is here and keeping me company! Here’s a little rundown of our last few days while waiting 😂
Bow Sandals, coffee & some flowers!
Thursday night we went out for a little date night at one of our favorite restaurants, Sip Wine Bar & Kitchen followed by an advanced screening of the new Mission Impossible movie! Their arancini is melt in your mouth delicious! Perfect possible last date night before baby!
We celebrated my sister’s birthday on Saturday with the best summer lunch – a lobster bake! It was such a relaxed day with my favorite people!
How cute is my sister’s dress?! It’s an Amazon find for under $20 and comes in 4 different colors!
Spent the morning on Sunday with a little last minute pampering – much needed pedicure and manicure. Gary was busy finishing our latest kitchen project – a low profile microwave above our stove.
To say it looks like it was made for the space would be an understatement! The fan works just as well as our hood did at ventilating & it gives off the perfect amount of cooking light. Pretty low key weekend around these parts, but it was just what the doctor ordered!
How was your weekend? P.S. I’ll take all the recommendations of how to naturally get baby to start making her way into the world…I think she’s pretty comfortable!

haha! That's so nice your mom is there to keep you company as you wait for baby girl! Looks like it was a good weekend, too. How fun to have a lobster bake for your sister's birthday. And her dress is darling. What a great Amazon find! Glad you were able to squeeze in a mani and pedi, too — that pink is the perfect color! Happy Monday, Biana!

Those flowers look so pretty! It sounds like you had a pretty great weekend – so glad you linked that dress. It is adorable! Good luck with baby – while I have zero experience I have heard people say walking, eating spicy foods and bounding on a big exercise ball can potentially help move things along. Again – ZERO experience, haha, just what I have heard. Either way, enjoy the start of your maternity leave and extra time with you mom!
I've been loving all your pictures on instagram this weekend, B! You're glowing! Also, that microwave. How cool is it that you were able to find something that low-profile to work so well?
Re: getting baby to get started naturally haha girl, I tried everything in the books. She'll come when she's ready. BUT I do say that bouncing on an exercise ball, yoga, and meditation will really help you prepare, and that's what's most important!
Sounds like the perfect weekend. Can't wait to see pictures of this little gal!
Enjoy your maternity leave before baby, girlie! You'll feel more relaxed and rested for sure. I'm glad your mom is there to keep you company. When you're so used to being busy all the time, doing nothing feels like work itself, haha. So, having someone to go out with and talk to makes the time go faster. Be careful with the foot massages that sent me into labor! My mom gave me one the night my contractions really started. After having Aviah, it came up in conversation with my delivery nurse and he said that's what most likely started the contractions! Anyway, have a wonderful and relaxing week, my friend!

THE STYLE CONTOUR
Maternity leave – yayy!! I heard Mission was amazing too – a great nearly last date, plus the food looks tremendous again! What were in the croquettes ( I am hungry all the time)? The photos of you and the family and gorgeous – that really is an amazing dress for under $20 – it is lovely! Caspar was a late baby and rolling around on a medicine ball helped me, BUT a friend of mine who's had 4 late babies used castor oil each time, off the spoon. You'd need to google / check about the dose. Also sniffing clary sage essential oil apparently brings on contractions. Some people here swear by a hot curry (the cumin sets off the contractions) but I tried that and it didn't work. Try them all hahah! Castor Oil is a sure thing though apparently. So nice that you got to get your nails done first – things like that give you a real boost during the whole thing. Best of luck!! Keep us posted xx
Love that you guys may have squeezed in one last date night! That food looks so good. Baby watch is officially on! I know those last few days are ridiculously long and anxiety ridden just wanting baby to come already! I don't have any advice, as I am pretty sure the SEC Championship game is what induced my labor LOL. Too bad there wasn't any football on this weekend. Maybe try to recreate a feeling like that? HA! Enjoy the time with your mama!
What a great weekend! Happy birthday to our sister – I LOVE a good lobster bake! YUM!
your sister – not our sister! HA!
So excited your momma is there with you – everything is in place for this baby's arrival now, isn't it.
Thank you for the dress info. it is sooo cute. I can't believe the countdown is on. Love all the yummy food you had this weekend!
Aaaahhhh happy maternity leave to you! That is so exciting! And I would love to give you some advice on how to get labor started, but unfortunately I couldn't get my own babies to come naturally. Lol. I tried EVERYTHING with Jacob – spicy food, bouncing on a ball, and I just about walked a ditch into our street in our neighborhood walking, and finally at 41 weeks we just had to induce. Then with Olivia I had an elective c-section, so I never got to start labor naturally and I really hate that. Good luck, girl! I'm going to be stalking your Instagram for the next week until something finally happens! Haha.
A ..enjoy the time now with your mom. It's like the quiet before the storm (in a good way, of course! 🙂
How cute are you and your sister? You both have your mom's smile and it's adorable!!! Enjoy your time with your mama before you become a mama!! (The microwave is AWESOME. I haven't seen one that low profile!)
That microwave looks perfect! I have never seen one like that! Such a cute photo of you and your sister! There are all those wives tales of walks, Indian food and bedroom time, but seeing all my friends and sisters' babies tells me they come when they want! Good luck and have fun with your mom!
Yay for some relaxing family time before baby! The kitchen looks great.

I hope you have a great maternity leave and can't wait to see pics of your little girl once shes born!
Love the photo of you with your mom and sister! Three beauties! The food and that lobster look delicious!! Last minute pampering I'm sure was much needed before the bundle of joy arrives and I love how the microwave looks in the space. Great job Gary! xoxo
My son was 13 days late. I worked up until he came and the night my contractions started I had to walk up seven flights of stairs because the elevator was broken in the parking garage at work. Try walking some stairs!
